What HELIX is

HELIX turns a Solana address into 128 letters of DNA and uses its SHA-256 hash to pick one position in GRCh38, the human reference genome. It then shows what the public Ensembl database records at that position. It is an educational toy built on public data.

Not medical or genetic advice

Nothing on HELIX is medical, genetic, health or diagnostic information about you or anyone else. The reference genome is a composite assembled from a few anonymous donors; it is not your genome and says nothing about your body, your ancestry or your health. Gene names and descriptions are shown for education only. If you have questions about your health or your genes, ask a qualified professional.

No personal genetic data

HELIX never asks for, accepts or stores any personal genetic data. The only input is a public Solana address.

The token

$HELIX is a memecoin with no intrinsic value and no promise of any return. Nothing here is financial advice. Holding it can change how your locus is placed after launch and lets you save and mint your strand. Features marked "at launch" do not exist yet and may change.

Your wallet

"Use my wallet" only reads your public address. Signing in asks your wallet to sign a plain text message; HELIX never asks for a transaction to sign in, and a signed message cannot move funds.

Data and credits

Assembly, bands, genes, transcripts, regulatory features and sequence come from Ensembl (EMBL-EBI), which places no restrictions on the use of its data, and from the Genome Reference Consortium's GRCh38 assembly. HELIX is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ensembl, EMBL-EBI, HGNC or the Genome Reference Consortium. Readings can change when Ensembl publishes a new release.

No warranty

HELIX is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It may be unavailable, slow or wrong. We are not liable for any loss arising from its use.
